Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Principal
Engineering Product Owner. The Engineering Product Owner is
responsible for analytics enterprise systems related to engineering
for Combat Mission Systems Engineering. As an Engineering Product
Owner, you will work within engineering operations to develop and
maintain products to grow the use of established enterprise
systems. The Product Owner:
- Works closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize
features, ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational
goals.
- Is responsible for driving the vision of the product into
product backlogs.
- Interacts with people from a variety of disciplines across the
team, including subject matter experts, business analysts,
architects, and technical leads.
- Works closely with performance managers to conceptualize,
create, and analyze system designs to ensure outcomes are
consistent with requirements.
- Understands the problems in detail and ensures the backlog
tasks are clearly defined, prioritized and the scrum team is
focused on the most valuable work.
- Communicates with performance managers to ensure an aligned
understanding of how the team can provide the highest value to the
customer.
- Works closely with the Digital Enterprise Team, Engineering
Tools Team, and IT to ensure compliance with all enterprise system
requirements.
- Enforces standards in accordance with BAE Systems
governance.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, trends,
and applications to enhance the organization's technical
capabilities.
- Continuously aims to maintain and enhance the technical
reputation of BAE Systems with customers and industry.
- Works with the Performance Managers to develop strategies,
prioritize, communicate, and manage operational priorities and
initiatives into product backlog.
- Communicates product vision to their team and other teams
outside of functional area.
- Owns and maintains the product backlog and is accountable for
its contents and prioritization. Accountable for clear
acceptance/success criteria.
- Sets priorities and actively participates in quarterly
planning.
- Participates in team demos, retrospectives, and
ceremonies.
- Works daily with scrum team, clarifying business requirements,
and supporting alignment around product strategy.
- Resolves open issues/questions efficiently.
- Influences stakeholder expectations for delivery of new EPIC,
features, and functionalities.Required Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems,
Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline (or
equivalent experience) and six years of related experience,
including acting as a product owner.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Able to influence a diverse group of stakeholders, manage
conflict and building effective relationships.
- A problem solver with experience guiding a team to drive
towards solutions and progress.
- Able to make quick decisions with sound judgment while
complying with policies and procedures.
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as
necessary.
- Due to a government contract, US citizenship is required for
this position.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years as a Product Owner
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum
Product Owner Level 1 (PSPO I)
- Experience working with Engineering systems - Creo, PTC
Windchill and PTC RVS
- Experience working with ERP systems - Oracle EBS
- Experience working on a project using Agile

$191070Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
