Base Pay Range: $84,800.00 - $144,200.00Primary Location:
USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLAKLA's total rewards package for employees may

Description/Preferred QualificationsIn this role successful
candidates will be responsible for:Design of components for
operation in high vacuum including vacuum chambers and subcomponent
interfacesDesign of precision components and subsystemsWork with
supply chain team to engage and develop potential suppliers
worldwide to deliver complex yet cost effective, reliable solution
for next generation common vacuum platformUnderstand and drive
system and subsystem requirement specificationsUnderstand and
direct material selection and fabrication method for high vacuum
systemsProvide solutions to various structural and dynamic
requirements for precision instrumentsPerform concept and detailed
designs using 3D modeling software packages (ProE/Creo,
etc.)Perform feasibility studies and proof of concepts,Define test
criteria and create test plans and failure mode for functional
prototypes in the lab.Assist with assembly and testing of
subcomponents and system level assembliesDevelop understanding of
cost, schedule, and scope and impact of possible
tradeoffsParticipate in design reviewsSpecify, document and guide
procurement of partsAssist with assembly and testing of
subcomponents and system level assembliesPlan release of designs
according to KLA's standard processesWork cross functional and
contribute to system-level discussions including impact on overall
system performanceHelp with troubleshooting and resolve issues both
at subsystem and system levelsProvide necessary technical support
for manufacturing operations and service engineering; addressing
current issues and implement continuous improving projects (CIP)
and cost reductions initiativesProvide required support for all
regulatory investigations and compliance related
initiatives;Qualifications/Education Desired:Strong understanding
of mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals including
design principles, machine elements, materials, fabrication
methods, and integration and testingExperience with high-precision
mechanism design for precision instrumentsUnderstanding of
materials and fabrication methods for high vacuum systems
desiredProficient in 3D solid modeling using CAD, preferably
ProE/CreoAnalytical problem-solving skills in the structural,
dynamic, thermal and fluid domainsUnderstanding of engineering
tolerance and error budgets, knowledge of GD&TBe able to work
in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organizationBe
flexible and adaptive to adjust project focus based on priority
changesExcellent writing skills and verbal communicationMust be
self-driven and a strong team playerMust be able to travel for
training and support of teams in other locations.Hybrid work This
is a hybrid role and will require to work onsite at least three
days a week. Minimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) Degree and
0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related
work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related
