Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer for Livonia, MI:+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ - - - - - Design and develop new tools and fixtures to improve the product - - quality and process. Assist in time and motion studies to do the line - - balancing and to make the manufacturing practices more efficient and - - cost-effective. Assist in the Torque tools verification and - - validation on the assembly line to resolve the quality-related - - issues. Resolving the QA Matrix line and support to implement WCM - - standards. Assist in CPA (Customer Product Audit) data monitoring and - - drive countermeasures of the issues reported. Provide CAPA for the - - PIR's, FQR, and the problems related to the In-house Quality - - Profiles. Assist in the TWTTP/HERCA activities to resolve the related - - quality issues. Perform Quality Problem-Solving approach using 5QFZD, - - 4M1D, 5W1H, PDCA tools as specified in WCM. Assist & coordinate the - - Occurrence & Release based Kaizen improvements. Support to reduce the - - Quality Inspection costs by implementing the Poke-Yoke, Kaizen. - - Assist in the Process Quality Audits, operators cross-training, and - - skill matrix. Organize and manage the Standard Operating Procedures - - (SOP's) for the assembly process. Provide product feedback to design - - engineering teams to ensure manufacturability without compromising - - product function or performance. Ensure achievement of safety, - - quality, cost, timing & throughput targets on all projects. - - Coordinate with Quality Engineering team and attend meetings related - - to process quality programs. Review and monitor the progress, publish - - the status reports. - - - - Master's Degree in Automative Systems Engineering with two years' - - experience required, foreign equivalent accepted. 40 hrs a week, Must - - be willing to travel/relocate to client sites.
