Niles is looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager with a specialization in industrial coatings to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of coatings applications, extensive experience in writing specifications, and possess NACE Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 certifications. This role is critical to ensuring that our organization is meeting the highest quality standards and complying with industry regulations. Position Requirements--- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC processes and procedures related to coatings applications.--- Write and review technical specifications for coatings projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.--- Conduct regular inspections and audits of coatings processes and applications to ensure adherence to quality standards.--- Collaborate with project managers and operations team to address quality-related issues and provide technical guidance on coatings selection and application.--- Ensure work is inspected for conformance with contract requirements, good painting practice, and internal QC procedures.--- Ensure that nonconforming work and rework is properly documented.--- Review and approve Daily Inspection Reports (DIR) in a timely basis. QCM may authorize review of DIR's by other competent QC personnel.--- Perform the required tasks to maintain SSPC QP1 and QP2 certifications.--- Ensure inspection instruments are calibrated with procedure and contract requirements and available for use at job sites.--- Train and mentor team members on QA/QC best practices, coatings technology, and compliance requirements.--- Analyze and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.--- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.--- Coordinate courses for employees initial or upgrade NACE Quality Control Inspector certifications.--- Maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ) training and certification program.--- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and advancements in coatings technology and incorporate relevant changes into QA/QC practices.
