• Certification Details
• Ascension Criminal Background Check Results include Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, 7-year search for SSN Trace, County Resided and Employed search, National Criminal, OFAC, and VSOP completed within 30 days of the first assignment. Updated every 1 year thereafter or if break in service > 90 days, must run counties listed during break in service.

  • 2yrs required experience in specialty areas.
  • BLS required, ACLS preferred.
  • This is a float assignment with daily staffing adjustments every 4 hrs, with potential to be pulled to a new assignment in 4hr blocks of time.
  • Will need basic dysrhythmia testing competency.
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS - Must be AHA.
    • ACLS - Must be AHA.
    • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
    • Annual Fit Test.
    • Health Statement - Documentation of vaccination series completion OR documentation of declination to vaccine
    • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) - 1st within 1 year, 2nd within 30 days of start.
    • Tdap - Valid 10 years from the administered date.
    • Ascension Skills Checklist - Clinical only; Required annually in specialty.
    • Ascension Specialty Exam.
    • Ascension Color Vision - Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
    • Ascension Core Competencies - HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics
    • Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen - Within 30 days prior to the start of the first assignment with the client, updated annually thereafter.
    • Ascension Badge Photo - Headshot with a white or blue background.
    • Ascension Education Verification - Education needs to be validated at the source level in accordance with applicable governing laws.
    • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment - You may upload your standard COA, Ascension does not require their specific form.
    • Ascension EKG Exam - Score needs to be 90% or higher with only 2 attempts.

        • Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs but you will still upload here.
        • Vaccines or Positive IGG Titer - If Negative titer, must have booster vaccine. Exemptions are NOT accepted for persons working with pediatrics/infants, mon-immune pregnant women (L&D areas), non-immune immunosuppressed patients (oncology, transplant, etc.)
        • Flu season starts Sept 4th, 2023 for all new travelers. Needs to be updated every year. Declinations and exemptions not accepted.
        • X-ray completed - Positive PPD- Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire
        • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually thereafter
        • The candidate or associate should provide documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence of immunity, or verification of a history of varicella or herpes zoster (shingles) by a healthcare provider.
