Job Description:
Essential Functions
*Repairs, modifies and upgrades rail cars
* rebuilds car components (hitch heads, box car doors ect.)
* Performs mechanical labor 95% of the tie
*operates forklift
*Enters car repair information via electronic keyboard system
Machine/Equipment/Tools Used
¿ Circular Saw
¿ Air Impacts
¿ Cutting torch
Physical Requirements
¿ Ability to lift up 80 pounds (lifting 10-50 pounds regulary)
¿ Ability to pull 10-50 pounds regularly
¿ Ability to sit, stand, crouch, and crawl for an 8-10 day
Qualifications
¿ Working mechanical knowledge
¿ Solid decision making skills and scheduling
¿ Welding and cutting skills (Tig, Mig)
