There's a seat at our table for you...Position Summary:Responsible for leading the transformation of the digital content creation strategy to support personalized content and experiences at scale. Demonstrated curiosity, ability to collaborate, drive change, learn and adapt to emerging tools and technology including generative AI. Designs and edits innovative and engaging digital content for websites (ecommerce and gfs.com/ca), the mobile app, email campaigns, social media and all other digital assets. Collaborates closely with digital, data and technology teams to understand business needs and champion innovative and efficient content creation solutions. Has an understanding of user experience (UX) principles, stays up to date on design best practices and trends, and has a proven ability to deliver content creation process improvements and designs that meet business objectives. Essential Functions:

• Maintains understanding of digital channels and develops design solutions for each as needed
• Maintains knowledge of tools and technology that support digital content to create and regularly refresh our strategy to deliver personalized content at scale
• Collaborates closely with digital, data and technology teams to understand business needs and champion innovative and efficient content creation solutions
• Maintains knowledge and skill to shoot general photography and video and provides art direction at professional photo shoots as needed.
• Ensures timely and transparent communication with team members and stakeholders on projects, deliverables, etc.
• Independently manages day-to-day workload. Strives to control expenses through efficient design processes, proactive workload planning, and ensures deliverables are completed by deadlines and within budget.
• Upholds Gordon Food Service brand standards to create high quality digital content
• Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Knowledge and experience in digital design (websites, advertising, apps, etc.)
  • Knowledge of general principles of marketing strategy, and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment, positive acceptance of creative direction, teamwork, interactions with others, relationships, etc.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Able to read (standard and technical), write (business,technical, copy, etc.), speak (basic, conversational, etc.)
    • Ability to multitask efficiently, highly motivated, self-initiator
    • Champion of collaboration across silos
    • Takes ownership of deliverables and documentation to ensure accuracy and that they are up-to-date for self-service by other teams
    • Ability to facilitate project or feature kickoffs to reduce ambiguity.
